Holy shit! They really don't learn!

Have no fear... as soon as Dystopian Dawn phase 1 (North America) is complete, I'm gonna open up the floor to a real license for writers!

100% royalty free as long as they state its not an "official" Fractured Brain Studios product and that they'll need the Dystopian Dawn core ruleset to run the adventure. A nod to my website wouldn't hurt, either. ;-)

Then, if I dig it, I'll negotiate with the writer to bring the book under the fold where I do the layouts, pay for art, marketing, host, and ship, etc. with a reasonable royalty based on how much editing, etc. I have to do.

And open up the free use of my artwork for their projects (just give me credit in the book - cause thats a nice thing to do).

And who knows... this may open the door for LOTS more collaboration!

I'm almost there - a few more books and phase 1 is complete. I just want the core "known world" done before other writers dive in. After that... hell, you know me... I love to collaborate and I want it to grow out of love for the material and fun!!

Yanno, when I get back down south...I may just buy a whole load of 3D printers and start a mini-printing business.

If I get any damn good at the software for it, I'd love to print up sets of minis for Dystopian Dawn, maybe get some basic archetypes down for the heroes and heroines, some Monster figures, Post-apocalyptic terrain scatter pieces. Could be fun.

I made a full set of cardboard standees for this last campaign, they'll be available on the website later this month.

I think the troublesome part is going to be in the design portion of it. Printing them won't be a problem. I'm already banking on getting at least one 3D Printer for all the One Page Rules minis I have, may as well do some for Mutants! and Dystopian Dawn as well.

Hell yeah! Likewise! I think I have two years worth of STLs right now. Grimdark Future is Warhammer 40k but playable.

WOTC:

Calling all suckers, near and far.

We'll steal all ideas like the thieves we are.

Your gamesets, your rules, your homebrewed reams

We'll take, we'll grab, you'll never see the fruit of your dreams.

No credit given, no money traded

It'll be just like when the Ogres raided.

The things you lovingly crafted

We'll change and distort, how you'll never know

till the rainbow brigade's nonsense we'll show.

Then just like the good little commies we are,

We'll call you names and say you are afeared

This game's not made for you, and you are weird.

100% honest article on the woke cancer that has invaded this hobby. If any of these wokie companies sat in on any of my home game sessions, they would pass out from rage.

Insert the "IT'S A TRAP!" meme here regarding Wizards.

Good to know about TLG.

There is a lot of whining in the hobby industry right now about tariffs (accompanied by fits of TDS and spitting.) We CAN and SHOULD print and manufacture here. To the people who think ths is impossible for companies big or small to do, I'd be happy to explain to them how. Companies that continued to do business with China after the last shipping debacle there (which had nothing to do with the pandemic or tariffs) deserve to fail.

The ones who suffered last time had to fold or learned an important lesson for the future: Do your business HERE.

TLG, aside from some delays on books I've Kickstarted has been pretty solid and the quality of their products is fantastic.

I laughed when I saw the Wizards D&D call for creators, saying to myself: "I've got an entire library of games now I can make content for, why would I bother with this?"

Then I actually read it and immediately thought: "So they never truly scrapped their OGL 1.1 idea (imagine my shock), instead they just shelved it and quietly slipped it in somewhere else, as I think most people expected. Who does WotC think they're fooling?

I've got a library of games I can make content for: Dystopian Dawn, Tiny d10, Modern Necessities (OSE material I know, still) and those are just a few examples. Hell, there are even Japanese TTRPGs I've been exploring, as well as indies.

I'm set and could not be happier. WotC can lick the greasiest asshole.
