I concur, the forced "message" and the inclusivity screaming crowd drown out and push away the folks who just want to play a game for that one crazy reason - TO HAVE FUN.

On a personal note - what, no Dystopian Dawn love?

There is no message in my game other than HAVE FUN.

I think I covered all of this fairly simply in my Player's Guide and I welcome everyone to the Dawn.

Here's an excerpt from the Dystopian Dawn Player's Guide p.17:

"Survival is more important than focusing on insignificant differences. This is by design. As characters explore the world beyond their own Territory, they should evolve. No pun intended.

Skin color means nothing. All pigments are reflected in Dystopian Dawn. Sexuality, likewise, means nothing. Roleplay your character however you want. The prejudices of the old world died with it. All former biases and "norms" burned down centuries ago. "

Trust and believe, there's love in this room (and a hell of a lot of it) for Dystopian Dawn as it's a real badass of a game. It's good that you bring it up because this is a game that is truly your own thing and definitely deserves it's mention here in this space. While Gamma World, Mad Max, Last of The Mohicans, Fallout and other survival media shows their respective influences, this is one game I can confidently say that we've recommended before and still do to this day.

I love reading posts like these, you always introduce me to new treasure to hunt and try for myself. More often than not it brings me to stuff I come to love.

Thank you for keeping the hunt alive! 😎

Responses like this are the reason why if I'm going to talk about a problem in the hobby, I'm going to list solutions as well. Too often there are people that only yammer on ad nauseum about the problems only to unwittingly, via their rage being baited, become advertisements for the very problems they want to call out. It's okay to call out those problems but when the question of "What do we do about it?" only gets answered with "Vote with your wallet" then the next question is "How?" and the question always remains.

I won't let the question remain. I'll at least present an alternative. After that, it's up to all of us to do our part. The little finds I make, some of them are through the library of games I currently own either in physical, PDF or both.

Final thing, always remember this "If It's Free, It's For Me." Grab it, fuck around with it, try it out, worst that could happen is you don't like it and then you've spent nothing at all on it. Best thing that could happen is you find something great and you'll want more.

If we use the bad to increase the focus on the good, then you'll see why I say that this is going to be an expensive quagmire for them.

The same holds true with Mainstream Pagan communities, like TAC and the Troth, and smaller Pagan Tribes. They just appear to have chosen a different focus when they get to a certain size, then it's all bureaucracy and politics.

Believe it or not, they just had something sent to me via email asking me to vote on some being elected into their office. I just clicked unsubscribe and left it at that. I could have voted and caused a little chaos but it would have solved nothing. Seems someone wasn't keeping the roster up to date
